Utility Supply and Construction Company is seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to join our growing team! This is an in-office role based out of our Reed City, MI location.

Essential Job Functions:

• Generate and distribute invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
• Review and verify billing information and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain billing records and customer accounts in the billing system.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing questions, discrepancies, and payment arrangements promptly and professionally.
• Record payments received, reconcile payment discrepancies, and manage accounts receivable aging.
• Initiate collection efforts for past-due accounts, including contacting clients, arranging payment plans, and escalating as necessary.
• Maintain up-to-date billing and financial records.
• Prepare and distribute billing reports to management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years accounting experience.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Process driven while being adaptable to various approaches.
