Salary: $75,000 - $85,000/year

ATI is seeking a highly motivated, qualified, and experienced full-time Building Inspector for a position located in Washington, DC.

Duties of a Building Inspector

Duties may include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Performing inspections for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and infrastructure damage such as stained ceiling tiles, stained carpet, life safety issues, leaking flush valves, cracked windows, etc.;
  • Entering data into a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as MAXIMO including service calls and requests for work authorizations to dispatch technicians responsible for maintaining the facility;
  • Performing preventative maintenance inspections on building equipment following the instructions in the CMMS;
  • Inspecting for functionality and operational condition of the building and assessing impacts to various building systems; and
  • Entering service call tickets into the CMMS for any discrepancies/issues noted during inspections.
  • This role involves working in secure environments in support of mission-critical operations.

Required Qualifications for a Building Inspector

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain clearance; Candidate must be able to work independently in a secure or sensitive environment;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment maintenance, repair, and/or inspection experience;
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent;
  • Vocational training and/or skilled trade certification is a plus;
  • Proficiency using MS Office (including MS Word and Excel) and experience with CMMS, preferably MAXIMO; and
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal), personal initiative, interpersonal skills, and a high regard for safety
