Job Summary:

Assist with patient care delivery and maintain environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Position Hours:

Three 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 p.m. - 7:15 a.m., rotating based on unit needs. No specific days off can be guaranteed.

Department Summary:

We care for pediatric patients from infants to adolescents with a variety of conditions including spinal fusions, trauma, cystic fibrosis, transplants, orthopedic procedures, urology, neurosurgery, cleft palates, eating disorders, behavioral health, feeding disorders, craniotomies, appendectomies, and tonsillectomies. Our diverse patient population offers our nurses a broad range of clinical experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient care and uphold environmental standards under supervision.

Support daily patient care activities.

Ensure safe and efficient patient flow.

Communicate and educate patients and families.

• Maintain supplies, equipment, and environmental standards.
• Additional duties may be assigned.

Technical Capabilities:

• Clinical interventions (e.g., vital signs, point of care testing) at a novice level.
• Patient documentation using clinical applications at a novice level.

• Environment of care: setting up and maintaining patient rooms and supplies, training peers, modeling behaviors.
• Planning & organizing: resource anticipation, task management, goal setting, scheduling, and adapting to changes.

Position Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required, less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
