About the Role
The Company is seeking a Dean for its School of Law, which is dedicated to providing a rigorous and socially responsible legal education. The successful candidate will be the chief academic and administrative officer, responsible for the strategic and collaborative leadership that ensures the school's excellence in legal education, scholarship, and service. This role involves advancing a dynamic and mission-driven academic community, engaging with the legal profession and the public to promote the school's contributions to justice and equity, and representing the school with distinction in all forums. The Dean will also be a Professor of Law and must hold a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, with a strong preference for those eligible for appointment as a full professor with tenure or with truly exemplary accomplishments in the legal field. Applicants for the Dean position at the company's School of Law should have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and a distinguished record in legal education or the legal profession. The role requires a visionary leader who can position the school as a leader in addressing contemporary challenges in the legal profession. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to community engagement, ethical leadership, and public service, in line with the school's values. Experience in a similar leadership role, a deep understanding of legal education, and a proven track record of fostering a diverse and inclusive academic environment are highly desirable. The Dean will be expected to work closely with the university's academic leadership and contribute to institution-wide strategy, so the ability to collaborate effectively and represent the school with integrity is essential.
