About Us Lighthouse Resort & Club is located on Sanibel Island in FL, nestled on almost 5 tropical acres on San Carlos Bay. This newly rebuilt resort will offer spacious 1,800-square-foot condos just across the street from the gulf. Summary The Lighthouse Resort & Club, a beautiful boutique resort, is seeking a knowledgeable and energetic General Manager to successfully lead the resort in all facets of the Resort’s day-to-day operations! This boutique resort will be re-opening in early 2025! The right candidate must have knowledge of and prior experience in property/vacation rental management, including pre-opening and planning for the newly rebuilt boutique resort. The General Manager must be experienced with property inspections, bidding, financials, excellent communication, and excellent follow-up skills. Must be able to lead, train, coach and motivate the resort staff. Must be able to maintain a highly visible profile with the guests, owners and staff. Essential Duties And Responsibilities The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the operation of the entire resort including revenue generation profitability, guest services, quality and overall cleanliness and maintenance of the property. Operation of the resort will include, but is not limited to, leading the Executive and management team effectively, coordinating the operation of each individual's department and special projects, and assisting in identifying problems and solutions. The GM must guide the management team in dealing with the hotel's problems and opportunities in order to best serve the financial interests of the property. Through leadership and mentoring, the GM works to establish a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented approach to guests that is exhibited by all hotel employees. The GM must provide solid employee relations for the entire Resort and must be involved in sales & revenue management to help with strategy and identify need periods while supporting the team to accomplish top line goals. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related area of study preferred Prior experience as a GM in a time share resort preferred. Prior experience in time share ownership relations preferred Previous background, experience and commitment to lead within a diverse, vibrant and engaged team member environment is required.
