Security Specialist - Veterans Preferred

GDBA is seeking qualified individuals who are willing to consider relocation within a commutable distance of San Francisco. Relocation assistance may be offered on a case-by-case basis.

A newly hired Protector in San Francisco will earn no less than $90,000 in their first year with GDBA. Protectors based in San Francisco could earn up to $110,000 in the first year, depending on relevant experience, performance, and promotion opportunities.

This is a full-time position with benefits, including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and 401(k).

Your Role as a Protector :

1. Monitor property using GDBA Command Center tools and technology
2. Screen visitors and vendors; control access to protected sites
3. Coordinate and execute security plans and respond to medical emergencies
4. Provide physical protection and logistical support at clients' homes and during travel
5. Provide secure transportation as needed
6. Survey and prepare locations prior to client arrival
7. Document suspicious activities in detail
8. Maintain readiness to meet any threats

Active-duty service members are encouraged to apply within 90 days (about 3 months) of ETS and can attend our Essential Protector Skills Academy (EPS) while on Terminal Leave.

Interested Candidates Should Expect the Following :

1. 12-Day Introductory Essential Protector Skills (EPS) Training Academy
2. Professional Leadership Track (PLT): A 2-year on-the-job executive protection training curriculum including 500 hours of training, mentoring, instruction, and certification, plus four advanced leadership academies
3. Ability to pass physical readiness tests (Pull-ups, Push-ups, Sit-ups, 800m run)
4. Must be drug and nicotine free
5. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
6. Must be able to swim

Additional Compensation and Benefits :

1. $2,000 sign-on bonus
2. Reimbursements for gym, massage, ammunition, and cellphone
3. $1,100 Health Savings Account (HSA) contribution
4. Family benefits, including outing fund, active kids fund, and school supplies fund
5. Annual free vacations for 200 qualified Protectors
6. Up to $2,500 stipend for CCW licenses
7. Up to $1,000 stipend for certifications like EMT, Lifeguard, NRA, Pilot, Maritime
