Description

The Headquarters Senior Security Specialist (SSS) oversees the security program at the World Bank Group Headquarters in Washington, DC, and the Corporate Liaison Office in New York City. Responsibilities include security incident prevention, preparedness, response, access control, security systems, incident analysis, and event security.

Responsibilities

1. Operational Security Program Oversight : Supervise security team, coordinate security for large events, oversee security plans, evaluate physical security measures, and manage security risk assessments.
2. Security Program Components : Manage security guard contracts, oversee HQ Command Center, AED program, incident reporting, and security systems.
3. Major Event Security Coordination : Act as WBG Event Security Coordinator for annual meetings, liaise with authorities, and develop security procedures.
4. Security Monitoring and Policy Advisory : Monitor security trends, maintain relationships with security agencies, and advise on security policies.
5. Stakeholder Engagement : Engage internal and external stakeholders, coordinate security operations, and manage relationships with authorities and organizations.

Selection Criteria

Masters degree with 8 years of relevant experience or a bachelors with 10 years. Experience in event security, managing security contracts, industry best practices, stakeholder management, and fluency in English are required. Knowledge of the security challenges in Washington, D.C., and NYC, and experience in managing high-level relationships are essential.
